It has been five days since the implementation of the order concluded in the closing of all women’s beauty salons across the country.
On 25th July which marked the final day of the one-month deadline for the closure reported to be violent in some areas of Kabul as the Islamic Emirate security forces forced the closing of the centers that were still kept open.
The move has triggered a new round of anger and objection inside the country and abroad as the closure is believed to have left 60 thousand of women out of work in Afghanistan.
Among them, are women who have invested hundreds of thousands of US dollars but are now told to close their businesses with no hope and promise of reopening.
The Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice said the decision was implemented after the supreme leader of the IEA verbally ordered it.
