Pakistan, UN Special Representatives Discussed Islamic Emirate Recognition

Asif Ali Durni, the special representative of Pakistan for Afghanistan, and Feridun H. Sinirlioglu, UN special coordinator for Afghanistan discussed the situation in the country including recognition of the Islamic Emirate.
In the meeting, the issues of TTP’s sanctuaries, women’s rights, frozen assets of Afghanistan, and humanitarian crisis were discussed, wrote the Pakistani envoy on his Twitter account.
In the meantime, Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister of Pakistan state in foreign affairs has also met with the UN special coordinator for Afghanistan and discussed Afghan-related issues.
International efforts should aim at creating sustainable economic pathways for Afghan people in particular for Afghan women and girls, spokesperson of Pakistan foreign ministry said in a tweet.
The spokesperson has also added that Pakistan was committed to working with the international community in bringing economic stability in Afghanistan and reiterated the commitment of Pakistan’s government to the work f the UN coordinator in Afghanistan.
