Islamic Emirate’s Commitment to Water Right Positive Step in Bilateral Ties: Iran’s Envoy

Iran’s special envoy and ambassador to Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi has apricated the commitment of the Islamic Emirate to the water rights of his country and has termed it a positive step in strengthening mutual relations.

The special envoy on his Twitter account wrote that Iran’s technical team that visited Helmand River found that the river’s water had fallen compared with the last year.

The diplomat also said, Iran urges the water right to be provided according to the agreement and based on the level of water after being gauged by technical teams.

Following the threats of Iran’s president to the Afghan government over the water right, a technical team of the country visited the Helmand River and found that the water has decreased.
