Afghanistan, Kazakhstan Announce $100M Trade Deal
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced that the private sectors of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan will sign a bilateral trade deal of USD 100 million.
The ministry in a series of tweets said the agreement was reached during a joint meeting of Afghanistan’s commerce delegation with Kazakhstan delegation in the latter.
According to the ministry, Afghan-Kazakh expos, facilities in transit, bilateral banking, new technology of water management, building logistic centers in Aqina and Tor Ghondi ports of Afghanistan, building the home of Kazakh commerce in Herat province, trilateral transit and expanding bilateral trade were the issues discussed in the meeting.
The Afghan delegation was led by the acting minister of commerce and industry while the deputy prime minister and minister of commerce of Kazakhstan led the host country’s delegation.
It comes as Kazakhstan has allocated 70 booths for Afghan products in the upcoming fair in Kazakhstan.
