ACB Announces Squad for ODI Series Against Pakistan
Chief selector at Afghanistan Cricket Board Asadullah Khan in a press conference announced a 16-member squad for three ODI matches against Pakistan.
Khan also named two traveling reserve players for the series.
The Afghan team includes Hashmatullah Shahid captain, Rahmnanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Riaz Hassan, Muhammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Azmatullah Omarzai, Abdurahman, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Zadran, Noor Ahmad, Fazal Farooqi, Salim Safi, Ikram Ali Khel, and Wafadar Momand.
The two reserve players are Fareed Malik and all-rounder Shahid Kamal.
Afghanistan goes with one uncapped, Wafadar Momand and the left-arm leg spinner Noor Ahmad has been called back for ODI games.
The three-match series will be hosted by Afghanistan in Sri Lanka starting on 22nd August.
This is the first time ever that the two teams are playing an ODI series.
